Hi Marie, what are the walls made of? That will definitely entail how difficult it might be to remove the wallpaper. Here is a step by step youtube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVNeG9keb28

A small hand held steamer or mix warm water & either vinegar or fabric softener to help remove. If you are okay with using one, there's a tool called paper tiger that will dimple small holes in the paper making it easier to get steam or remover to the glue but unless you are careful it will also dimple the wall. Use a plastic scraper to make sure you don't pierce the walls. Wash with warm soapy water and a microfiber cloth to remove all residue once all is peeled away.

If it is wallpaper...I use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and hot water in a spray bottle. Spray the wall down, let is set for a while. Do not let it dry out. Then scrape it off with a putty knife. There is a great possibility they are actual wall panels with bonded with paper at the factory. Thin strips of molding cover the seams about every four feet. This is used in trailers and modular homes. If this is what you have the paper cannot be removed. What you can do is clean, prime, and paint the walls

I ran into this and the wallpaper was not removable, come to find out. Had to clean it well, prime, and paint.

For wall paper, spray with a mixture of half and half fabric softener and water, keep it moist, never let it dry out. You should be able to scrape it off with a plastic store card or a putty knife. Another alternative is to use a steamer, if you don't have one, they can be rented at Lowes and Home Depot.

Steamers don't remove the top layer of paper. Find a seam and pick a piece loose. Tear the top layer off and the bottom layer is paper and glue. You can use a wet rag and wet small areas of the backing paper (once the top design layer is off) and use a putty knife to loosen. The wetter the backing and letting it soak BEFORE you scrape will allow you to take off large sections at a time. Using a wet rag to wet the backing paper keeps you from making a wet mess from a spray bottle that makes the water run down the wall before it soaks into the paper.

Hello. You might consider asking your caravan manufacturer. They might offer the best practice solution.

I have removed LOTS of wallpaper in my day. First, score it with a scoring tool and then steam it, so that the steam permeates behind the paper through the holes where you scored it. Then, it should peel off easily, or can be scraped with a putty knife. Be VERY careful when scraping it as to not damage the wall behind the paper.

You most certainly can remove wallpaper in your caravan. Use a paper tiger to score the paper. Spray with a 50/50 mixture of Downy fabric softener and water. Let sit for about 15 minutes, Then use a plastic scraper. Get that in Walmart or an automotive store. The paper will come off really easy.
