Today I'm decoupaging with a Dollar Tree tablecloth. I'm working on an old galvanized pot that was headed for the trash. I'm giving it one more year and checking out a new crafting product.
First I grabbed a tablecloth from Dollar Tree.
They have a whole bunch of designs so I chose one to match all the blue on my outdoor deck.
I cut the tablecloth into pieces that were about 2" x 2" each.
I have a ton of leftover tablecloth now for another project.
I'm going to update an old galvanized planter dish for this project.
Truth be told I've had this planter dish for years and I like it the way it is but I'm all in for trying out a new product.
The new product I'm using is Mod Podge for outdoors.
I've used it before and had good luck with it.
So here goes...
After washing down an old planter dish, I coated it with the outdoor Mod Podge.
Next, I stuck on the table cloth pieces then Mod Podged over them and let it dry.
When the dish was dry I drilled 3 holes in the sides of the dish for hanging and a couple of holes in the bottom for drainage.
I found a chain hanger at the Dollar Tree while I was there and was looking for a place to use it.
I think it turned out great and cost almost nothing for this easy update.
