Hello,
You can buy a stacking kit with instructions.
What a great question!
We ran headlong into this a year back, our front loader washer quit-very old and we had to replace it, the dryer unit was stacked on top and works great.
I wanted the washer to have the pedestal base and the dryer on top. Well, come to find out even though it is a stack-able unit, and we bought the parts to join them, the washer with the pedestal base was out of the question all together because of the weight of the dryer on top.
The washer must go on the bottom because of the weight.
As it turned out, the dryer sits on top of our washer without the kit to join them together, no problems so far.
Best to you.

You'll likely need a stacking kit which holds the dryer securely above the washer. It's a simple bracket that screws on to the washer top.

Hi! I had to buy a stacking frame that holds them together. Headroom and access to the back of the appliances is also required. I bought my kit from the dealer I bought the washer and dryer from. Good luck!
