How do I remove grease?
I have a frying pan that has built-up grease on the bottom. Tried scrubbing with brillo pan. Also tried a product called "grease poiice". Still have sections that I can't remove.

What type of material is the bottom of the frying pan made out of?
Is there a particular coating that has worn off, or been burnt?
I make a paste of baking soda and water and apply a thick coat of it to the pan, works for both inside and outside. Let it set for several hours and then take the coarse side of a scrubbie sponge and work in circles. Repeat if needed.

Hello. Is it in aluminum, steel or cast iron frying pan? A little more information might be helpful to get the best possible advice. I have done lye immersions with cast iron pans to revitalize them before.

You might try an oven cleaner product.
You might be hard pressed to remove all of it but try Bar Keepers Friend and a scrubby, that should help.

Oven cleaner will probably be your best bet. Apply on the bottom of the pan as if it were a cold oven application.

You can simply soak a sponge or rag in vinegar, the make use of it in wiping down the greasy surface.
