Natural Weed Killer
2 cups white vinegar
¼ cup salt
Squirt of dawn
Mix in a spray bottle. If you have a larger area, you can mix in a garden sprayer with larger quantities. Use when it will not be raining for a few hours so that it isn’t washed away.
I have heard of English Ivy and Virginia Creeper but not familiar with Virginia Ivy.
I had a problem with some out of control Virginia Creeper. Don't know why the nurseries sell this stuff it is invasive.
It spread via underground runners. The best way was just to pull it up and then follow with a good application of a vinegar, salt, Dawn solution to kill tender new shots that pop up.
This shows how to kill petty vines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqY2mu7CDJM
– Pour 20% of white vinegar and 80% of the water in a garden sprayer. – Spray the creeper with this mixture. – Wait three days and remove any dead vines. – If there are still living vines, repeat the spraying process until you get rid of all of them.
