Saved From the Dump
I got this mid century modern dresser on my local Facebook marketplace for $50. It had some veneer whipping and a finish that was in bad shape.
I wanted to light it up a little bit, so I knew I was going to use white paint and a white wash on this dresser. First thing was to start sanding it down with my orbital sander 120,220,320 grit.
All sanded down. I was going to add new hardware, I used wood filler to fill in the holes from the original hardware and purchased new brass hardware from Amazon.
I used a white was on the wood. That is half white paint half water. You apply it with a brush and wipe it down with a cloth. It's pretty much like a water based stain. The top had some oily damage on the veneer so I want ahead and created a design on the top that would strategically cover those areas. Once everything was dry I applied polycrilyc clear coat on the wood surface and it was time for photos

I'm a little confused. Did you whitewash the entire face of each drawer and then solid paint the edges?
