How to get rid of indoor ants?
I've never had indoor ants and now they've decided to invade my kitchen. Have to be careful as I have a dog and cat so can't be toxic. Please help!

Keep your kitchen counters very clean, wipe them down often.
What we use is a product called Terro, available in diy stores in the pest control section. Ants will be drawn to it and will pool around the liquid and then carry it back to the colony.
You can place it anywhere you like away from your pets and where you have noticed the ants coming in.

I use a product called Terro. It works every time.
Food grade diatomaceous earth is pet safe and will get rid of anything with an exoskeleton. Use a ketchup bottle to dispense a line around the edge of floors and anywhere you have an issue.
No. I use the TERRO products as well. I use them indoors and outdoors as well as spray a home perimeter spray around the circumference of my home. I live in a rural area and haven’t had a problem since I’ve instituted this method every spring

How to Get Rid of Ants With Borax & Sugar
We get an ant spray (can find at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart) and spray the outside of our window frames and door frames.
I use diatomaceous earth. Leave a trail of it near where you see them come in. They will take it back with them and it dries them out and they die.
You could put vinager at all the boarder and window and door sills it kills them
I used two methods. I sprayed my windows outside and inside with Home Defense. I put some essential peppermint oil on cotton balls and left it on the window sill in the kitchen. The ants hates that. I followed the trail and applied the oil to the corners of my windows. When gone I recaulked.
Oh boy, we have this problem every year in summer. I use the cornmeal and sugar trick in the beginning of the season and they're gone. I don't really measure I just use about 2:1 with cornmeal to sugar.
I use EcoSmart Ant spray that is mainly lemongrass oil, and have also used Victor's Ant & Roach spray that is mint based. Spray on sufaces and wipe off excess residue and it will repel them, spray directly on ants and it kills them.
I also use a termite and carpenter ant spray on the foundation outside, this is toxic, so I wear gloves and mask when spraying, and I do around doorways and any windows they might come in.
