I think the only thing you can do is lightly sand the spot and repaint. Silver is hard to match, so you may need to repaint a larger area - for instance, the entire top of the dresser.
Do you mean dresser?
If so, you'll have to sand the area with fine grit sand paper (220) apply a primer such as Kilz, and repaint.
Hello. This may be a tricky finish to match perfectly. I might suggest trying rubnbuff as it comes in many metallic shades. It might be easier to try to blend p this in rather than repaint the whole item.
I’ve used Rub n buff on picture frames and pewter candlesticks. It’s a waxy rub on that worked well for my needs. It can lighten or darken.
Have a look at the website possible color options, reviews Q&A to to see if it’s a product you might wish to consider.

How do you repair stains on a wood silver color dresser?
How about putting a table runner over it
You may have sand/strip the whole top down to raw wood. Then prime and spray paint with Rustoleum 2X silver spray paint. Stripping would be easier. Use Citrisrip stripper. You can also get some silver Contact paper and stick it on the top for a quick fix. If you can sand the spot and feather the edges about two to three inches into the finish you could try the rub and buff.
Is this about a dress or a dresser?
Sand it lightly down with a scrubbie, then get Rustoleum Silver spray paint. Try to paint it outdoors to avoid fumes. Or open lots of windows. Make sure you put something around the dresser to avoid overspray.
So the silver should be sequins if I’m right get your self silver nail polish shiny kind and paint each sequin to match
You can refinish and use RustOleum metallic paint. Sand down and then paint & seal.
Please tell us a bit more info, Type of material?. Where is the paint from and what type is it?
I agree with most, sand and repaint, but as already stated, you might need to repaint the entire top so it matches.
is that not stainless steel ?
If you have the paint that went on it originally, you can lightly sand that area and feather in the paint. Otherwise it looks like you'll have to sand the top and repaint.
So you mean a silver dresser?
Hello there,
Use a motif to cover the damage or a contrast Bow etc.. It is not possible to repair the fabric!
Hello Stacy, you can buy a silver paint similar in color and dab it on.
I agree with Ann and think you can slightly sand the area and then repaint.
dress ?
