If your looking for an affordable flooring solution this is for.

Black tar flooring

Our hallways floor was an eye sore! I needed an affordable flooring solution

So having a look around I came across peel and stick vinyl Planks at b&q which was super exciting for me as I could do this myself.

Searching the Internet

I found these along with many other colours and styles but these caught my eye they had that rustic feel which is what I liked.

Making a decision

B&q have an option online to put in your floor measurements so I instantly knew how many flooring packs I would for my hallway.

Once I received my order I proceeded to lay the Planks out deciding on how I was going to lay them.

Decision made

I decided to go for the easy option as it was my first time laying these Planks.

This is the design I decided on.

Testing them out

Wow what a difference these self adhesive floor Planks were going to make. I was very excited at this point

Peel and stick

I simply pulled the white sheet off the back and laid the Planks down on the floor pressing with my hands. The adhesive was very strong almost all the Planks stuck instantly! I had bought some adhesive spray for any Planks that may not have stuck aswel but found I didn't need to use it much as each Planks was sticky enough.

When I needed to cut the Planks I would simply score the plank and the peice would simply snap off very easy light work

The results

The Planks are easy to cut and flexible enough to work with a Sharpe Stanley knife and cutting mat is all you need.

Extending the project

I love the results so much I carried on through to the dining room giving the flooring a seamless look. I used 10 packs in the dining room and 5 packs for the hallway. The Planks are very hard wearing they feel like real wood as they have a texture to them.

I'm very pleased with the results I hope you like it.
