Twig Pumpkin

I was hanging on to those last bits of summer when I made this. Trying not to go full on orange, gold and brown for Fall. I have to say it has brightened my decor for the last month or so. Guess that's a win
Making a twig pumpkin and trying to salvage that last bit of summer color.
It started with this piece of wood that used to be a shelf in an old waterfall chest. I sold the chest, but the new owner didn't want the make shift shelf.
I purchased this bunch of the Asian Willow branches at a Michaels craft store. I love the dark red- orangish color.
I gave the wood a coat of aqua chalk paint and then made a paper pumpkin template.
Next:
I trimmed off the excess twigs, which did make a few twigs fall off and I had to reglue those.
Lastly I glued the cardboard pumpkin to the wood. Added drill holes and wire for hanging.
