Shabby Chic Hall Stand

I picked up this small table at a second hand shop recently. It was crying out for a shabby makeover.
It is exactly the right size for my spare room to hold my sewing machine. It was an ugly tan colour until I gave it an undercoat and then a few coats of Dulux Antique White USA. I picked out some of the detail on the surface in grey and then distressed it lightly.
I finished it in a matt clear water based polyurethane. The wooden panel on the top of the table comes off which is handy when I need to use it for sewing.
It was too cute to be hidden in the sewing room so it now takes pride of place in my downstairs entryway.
