My Laundry Room Got Happy!

My laundry room was sad. It was a celery green which appeared more or a drab green with all the white. Enter black and red to brighten things up. I'm loving it!! I spent $30 on this redo. (I had the plates.)
I made my valance from a black, red and white twill fabric which was $5.40 per yard. It took 1 and 1/2 yards. It's on a tension rod.

I could go on all day about these Little Debbie boxes. I sprayed chalk paint, added ribbon and then used canning lids to anchor the labels. I now have so much space in the cabinets as they are housing our extra lightbulbs!

All my laundry and cleaning supplies now are housed out of sight.

Every room should have a plant. This little wall shelf was made by my husband. I love the red poppy plates on the green walls. They were in my attic.

Hey...vinegar and clothespins have a right to dress up every once in a while!

This plant is on top of my dryer. It is on a very cheap small poster frame that is about 30 years old. I put scrapbook paper in it. By keeping a plant or something decorating on the dryer, I'll be less tempted to leave stuff about.

Gotta brag on the husband. He made this for me.

Another shot of my valance and plates. You don't have to sew to make this valance. Fabric glue, good iron and a steady hand is all that is needed.

Looks very welcoming and even makes you want to actually do the laundry with love. I think mine needs a good makeover
