DIY Jadeite Ornaments

It's easy to transform simple clear glass ornaments into lovely faux Jadeite ornaments! decor
Do you happen to have some clear glass ornaments? If not-- go get some... they are marked WAY down this time of year!
To make these pretty ornaments, you'll need clear glass ornaments, light green paint (mine is from DecoArt and it's called Pistachio Mint), metallic gold spray paint (I like Krylon Metallic Spray Paint) and gold letter stickers. You'll also need a funnel. I suggest hitting the dollar store for a set of 3 for a buck. Save them for crafting use (non-food use) only.
Step 1: Pop off the hangars and spray paint them gold.
Step 2: Using a funnel, add the paint to the ornament. Cover the opening with your finger and swirl the paint around. Set it back in the packaging and let it dry overnight.
Step 3: Replace the top and add a gold letter (monogram).
Give as gift, place in a bowl or decorate the tree with these faux green glass beauties!

Annie Doherty on Jul 12, 2016These look fairly easy to do but what an impact they make with your very clever finishes, fun and imaginative, thank you.
