DIY Winter Wreath

After the holidays, everything seems so bare including the front door. I was tired of looking at the wreath that had hung there since November. It's been cold and icy here which inspired this glittery, winter wreath.
A standard grapevine wreath, a discounted garland of sparkly white foliage and some pinecones make this an easy project.
Start by spray painting the wreath white. Use a couple of lighter coats rather than one heavy one for better coverage. Be sure to paint the backside too.
Cut foliage from the garland and hot glue into place. Start at the centre bottom and work your way out to about 1/3 of the way up on both sides.
Using craft paint, touch the ends of the pinecones to add some "snow". Glue them into place in the middle of the foliage. Tuck in a bow of shimmery organza to complete the icy look.
Here it's hung on a vintage window in the dining room giving the room some winter interest.
