Another Bath Remodel. Took out the bathtub and installed a stand up shower.

My client wanted to get rid of their bathtub and have a stand up shower. We tore out the old tub, moved the drain and raised the faucet handles/valve. Added a shampoo/soap box in the wall. Retiled the complete shower and floor.

How much did the project cost?

There are lots of factors that will affect the cost. Type of tile, plan to reuse the vanity, toilet. How much plumbing needs to be revised. Framed or frameless shower door. Looking at approximately $3500-$4200.

We are in planning stages of a very similar project. What is the depth of and width of your new shower? Im wondering what you are left with after removing tub and re tiling... This is for an elderly person to use and I need room for grab bars too. Hoping for at least 36 inch depth. Thanks!

Jean, it's basically the same size as the tub. 60" wide, 32" deep. You can make it 36" but you have to watch for clearance for the toilet if your toilet is next to the tub.
