Make a Wire Cloche From a Gutter Guard

I have to admit that I've fallen in deep love with cloches--glass or metal or otherwise. I was very excited when I found some metal gutter guard material at a garage sale, because turning it into mini-cloches is what came to mind immediately.
I had three small, ceramic tart pans on hand and decided to use them as the base. Other materials included scissors, wire, a glue gun, and small knobs. NOTE: Rolls of metal gutter guard may be a vintage item that you will have to keep an eye out for at garage sales. I think it's fairly common because I found it twice last year, paying just a dollar for each roll.
This is what things look like as you begin to crimp the metal to form the dome top.
You want to use your hands--inside and out--to form the dome shape you're looking for.
After a few more steps, you'll have completed your cloche, and it will bring a smile to your face. I know mine have. Visit my blog to get detail instructions about how to make your own wire cloches.
