Ugly Thermometer to Beautiful Clock!
I am in the middle of completing a cost free bathroom remodel. I wanted a clock on the bathroom and decided to re-purpose an old, broken and UGLY thermometer into a clock!
I removed the metal frame and then the thermometer parts and the indicator hand. I painted the frame in a silver metallic paint.
Then I covered turned Mr. Fish around and traced the face onto a piece of scrapbook paper. I used stick on vinyl numbers from my scrap book stash. After that I inserted the clock works.

After putting it all back together, here is my beautiful clock!
And here it is in the remodeled bathroom.
Hopefully this post will inspire you and you won't look past those ugly clocks or thermometers you come across at yard sales or thrift stores!

I love this idea! Wonderful choice of paper; it brings the whole scene together.

Absolutely love what you did! May I ask what color is on your walls?
I hope I can do this. How did you cover it -- decoupage or ????????????
