SK's Vain Pink Lady

This poor little lady had seen better days, heck she had seen better centuries. I was really hopeful we could save her.
She was a gift to a special little girl in 1972. We estimate she was built around 1915. Lookin pretty good for a hundred year old little lady.
This pretty little thing had been stored for many years in a not so moisture proof shed.
All the veneer had to be carefully removed.
The drawers would not budge, so they had to be removed piece by piece and rebuilt
My wonderful client was excited to use a combination of coral, navy and cream. She also loves chevrons.
Very eclectic taste. And such fun... So this is what she wished for and this is what she received.
I use custom colored chalk paint. I have found this recipe works great on just about any surface. And I love the texture.
The raised stencil was created with a stencil and Modern Masters Sculpturing putty. The beautiful glass clock knobs were a perfect fit from Hobby Lobby.
The top is pretty with a raised stencil clock.
Each drawer exterior is covered with a beautiful pattern paper.
When the painting was complete, I sanded her back and washed her with a white lime wash. After she dried I waxed with a clear paste wax and buffed for an old world shine.
This pretty Pink Lady will be loved and cherished for a new century.
