Your shower curtain. It keeps hot water in and peeping eyes out, but often gets overlooked when it’s time to clean your bathroom. Don’t check off that chore until your curtain is clean, too! With every steamy shower, you’re adding a new layer of soap scum. You may not notice the first time, or even the fifth, but eventually your shower curtain will become caked with this hard-to-fight substance. To learn more about soap scum (and why it’s so tricky to clean), read: Be A Soap Scum Ninja.
Next time you scrub your toilet or wipe down your bathtub with disinfectant, take the time to spray both sides of your shower curtain, too. With this two minute chore you’ll prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
