Using an old tire, duck tape, one piece of particle board leftover roap and shoe polish I made a one of a kind ottoman that I love.
I covered the tire with duck tape using small pieces overlapping as I went. Once the tire was completely covered I smoothed the tape with my fingers.
Using a shoe polish sponge brush bottle (sold at the local drug store) I covered all of the tan masking tape. This gives the apperance of leather in person. I added a green rope around rim for a punch of color.
Duck tape is added to top for decoration. The final step is a cost of polyurethane over the whole ottoman. I'm going to hold off on that I have a habit of changing my design. Once I make a final decision on colors I will add round ball legs. For less than $10.00 I have a functional ottoman. More storage and I recycled a tire. Good project all around.
