Lace Painted Chest of Drawers - How to update an Old Piece

I got this chest of drawers and it was in a serious need of makeover. I needed a set for our bedroom and I decided to try out the lace painting using lace curtain and spray paint. I think it gives such a beautiful and unique finish and is such a great way to dress a dated piece.
This is the before picture, the piece was sturdy but it was damaged on the sides.
First, I cleaned the furniture thoroughly and removed the drawers, I removed the stickers and the ugly handles. I had an image in my head of what I wanted it to look and thought that nice crystal door knobs would look lovely over the lace background, so I filled the original holes with woodfiller, and once they were dry I sanded them down. I then measured where the new holes should go and drilled them, sanding around to remove any bits of wood.
As the sides were damaged I filled them with wood filler, sanded to have a nice and smooth surface and glued damask wallpaper on the sides using mod podge.
I then painted the piece in Annie Sloan's Old white, I painted the drawers in Rust Oleum in Belgrave.
I placed the lace curtain over the drawers and sprayed white spray paint over. I sprayed at a distance in slow movements, trying not to have the aerosol too close to the lace and have an even layer.
I then waxed over the drawers once the paint dried and added the crystal door knobs.
I inserted the drawers and the piece was finished
