Shabby Chic Makeover 1963 Singer Sewing Machine Face Lift.

I received this sewing machine from a very good friend as a gift. It is a 1963 Singer Rocketeer in perfect condition... except for the ugly cabinet. I loved the unique machine, it ran like a dream and had a really funky look so I grabbed a bucket of paint.
The before picture of the sewing machine cabinet. Very 60's
Picture of the actual machine.
The cabinet had a very shinny smooth service almost like a plastic laminate so I took a heavy duty sand paper to it with my electric sander and got it down to the wood.
Two coats of white paint. I didn't paint the inside because I wanted the smooth original wood for the fabric to slide easier.
I used my acrylic paint to do a eucalyptus green and wisteria color trim. I used hodge podge to add my favorite paper and was able to use the original handles on the drawers. It now sits in my office.
