Home organization with paper towel holders

DIY Lipstick Organizer

For our first project, I'll show you how to transform a basic paper towel holder into an affordable DIY lipstick holder. Here's how to do it:

Secure zip ties to holder

1. Loop and Secure Zip Ties

Take your paper towel holder and some zip ties from Dollar Tree.

Loop the zip ties around the paper towel stand one by one, evenly spaced, and secure them in place.

Cut off excess plastic

2. Trim Excess Zip Ties

Use your scissors to cut off the excess of the zip ties. This will ensure a clean and tidy look for your Lipstick Holder.

3. Hot Glue for Extra Security

Grab a mini hot glue gun and add small dots of hot glue to the zip ties. This will further secure them in place, making your organizer more durable.

Cover with gold spray paint

4. Spray Paint Makeover

Now, it's time to give your stand a stylish touch. Cover the entire stand with spray paint, I chose gold, and allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.

NO NO NO...never store extra toilet paper near the toilet...have you not heard of splash up...ewww...put it under the sink or even better in the hall closet. Its been proven that particles can get to your toothbrush on your sink. Fine if its yours but most people let others use their washroom.

I understand your point. However, the usable toilet paper itself is NEAR the toilet all the time. I always keep my extra toilet paper close by. I have been stuck in a bathroom (at my super clean sister in law's house) that ran out of paper and there were no tissues, no toilet paper in sight!!! It's a horrible situation and I will never put a guest or my family in that situation. If concerned about toothbrushes, just cover each with a tiny paper cup. I do that to protect against hairspray use.

I have a toothbrush sanitizer that I use daily and keeps my toothbrush covered, too. I keep 4 extra rolls in a toilet paper holder next to the toilet.
