Pink Bathroom in Rented Apartment. What to Do?

Shelves or a small cabinet would be nice. I've also seen small wine racks repurposed as towel holders.
Depends on if it's a guest/hall bath or primary bath. If it's a guest/hall bath, I would choose art.
If you have any old drawers, put them on the wall for shelves. It's a cute and different idea. I like to have shelves that are wide enough for a basket to hold a few things that can be hidden away but close at hand.

I've always thought in bathrooms that you can't go wrong with more places to hang towels. You could always do a shelf with hooks beneath.
Many diy-er's install shelving about their toilets. ust be sure to place the bottom shelf high enough that the lid to the tank can still be easily removed
You could add floating shelves, a mirror, art work, wine like storage that could hold towels, add jewlery storage, all bathrooms seems to need places to hang towels or bath robes.

Put up a couple of floating shelfs up they will look nice maybe nick nacks or towels on them.
If you are thinking about putting up a picture or other wall art made from paper in this space, keep in mind that if the bath/shower is used frequently, this will be impractical, as the steam will warp the paper.
My guest bath has art hanging on that wall. My master bath. I went to Home Depot and bought a very nice mirrored cabinet to hang on that wall. It has a nice depth, to put many things in. Just make sure you hang it high enough that you do not hit your head.
We have a cute white wooden storage shelf we got from Pottery Barn. It has some shelves I've put small/medium baskets with hand towels rolled up and then I have some cute accessories on the other shelves.
