I love how easy it is to make something so simple look so chic. I use these for photos, magnets, and even bag clips! What would you use them for?

First thing's first. Hang your clothes pins from a string. That way, you can paint all sides at once.

You have 2 options when it comes to color, the first is stain. These clothes pins seem to have a coating, so you may need to sand them first.

The second color option is paint. (This one is my favorite.) I used craft paint, because it's so inexpensive. I also used a cotton swab, instead of a paint brush, so that I could toss it after I was done painting. (I hate cleaning brushes. LOL)

The magic happens in the sanding! Use light stokes, and go with the grain.

Work on the corners and edges first.

Then, lightly sand over the top until you reach your desired look.

If you want to take an extra step, take the springs off and spray paint them. I love the look when the springs are darker.

If you want to make magnets, simply add a magnet to the back. I bought the kind with adhesive already on the magnet, and cut it to fit.

Then, display on your fridge! I love the way that this looks! They match the crates in my kitchen perfectly.

You could also hang them on a string, to display photos. I love the look of this one!
