Do you have leftover brick from another project? Learn how to make a fire pit with leftover bricks. For those of you that have been around for a while, you know that we have done so many projects with the 2 pallets of reclaimed brick that we got from a local greenhouse. And we still have some left! We have been slowly creating a little backyard retreat, and instead of a fire pit where the bottom always rusts out, I decided to make a permanent fire pit with the leftover brick.

How to Make a Fire Pit with Leftover Brick Before

Things You Will Need:

  • Leftover brick (42 bricks to make a 3-tiered 36″ fire ring)
  • Landscaping construction adhesive
  • Tape Measure
  • Gravel

Use 2 Bricks and Mark your Diameter. This fire pit is 36″.

Repeat step 1 with two more bricks

Fill in the gaps with brick to make a ring.

Place adhesive on the bottom of the next row of brick and stack.

Repeat step 4 with the 3rd layer of bricks.

Fill the center with pea gravel

We already had gravel down in this area, but if you are building this on a patio or the grass simply fill the inside of the pit with gravel. And voila!

If you'd like even more warmth, try out these electric patio heaters.

I see you started with 2 bricks and got mor bricks and made a nice fire pit. It has air holes between the bricks to get enough air for the fire nice job on your project. Thanks for sharing

scrape to bare ground or gravel or cement or something non-flammable in center of fire pit & for a 10' diameter around the pit - and the fire must be 10' from any bldg. or overhanging branches! safety first
