Baby Boys Bassinet

The idea of building my baby boys bassinet felt like a perfect way for me to welcome him into our lives. I used a variety of timber - Oregon, Merbu, Cypress pine, and Victorian Ash all of which I salvaged from worksite skips, and hard rubbish collection piles.
*I must apologise in advance as during the building process I forgot to take a few photos
a) the gluing up process of both end panels and the base board.
b) the installation of side railings.
Selected timber for bassinet base.
Some rippings of Victorian Ash from worksite (soon to be bassinet balustrade).
Victorian Ash balustrades dressed and ready to be cut.
*On the right of this photo is a length of Cypress pine.
Ripped, cut, and dressed Cypress pine legs and Oregon base board.
Fitting end panels to base board and setting height of bassinet.
Install and glue railings.
Balustrades fixed in position with glue and dowels.
Varnish applied before fixed to legs.
Bassinet attached to legs.
Rock your baby to sleep :)
