Shaker style doors? Yes please! We're just a couple of rookies building kitchen cabinet doors. Join us over on our blog to see how we assembled our version of shaker style doors.
Lots of shaker style doors with bead board inserts.
We used a dado groove joined with a wooden biscuit, wood glue and a few nails to hold it all together.
After they were all assembled, I painted them and got them ready for staining and sealing.

I have been working on cabinet doors as well...trying to make our builder's grade cabinetry and vanity in our bath/laundry look like they belong to a 100 year old home (and not some cheap flip). I used cheap lath strips and screen door molding topped with an oil based primer and enamel. I love this look...and thanks to you, I have a name for it. Shaker!
