Easy Gold Leaf Plant Pots

These beautiful gold accented terracotta plant pots are not only really easy to make but look great. You can fill them with succulents, moss balls or any little plant of your choice. The best part? This is a fun project that kids can do, too!
You will start with a basic terracotta plant pot.
Pick whatever size you want. These pots vary from 2 inches in diameter to as big as you want. I personally like the small 4 or 6 inch pots. They are cute and you can pop little plants like succulents or even moss balls in them!
Pick your color scheme and paint to your heart's content. You can see the type I paint I chose to use [url=http://porch.com/wifeinprogressblog/diy-crafts-gold-leaf-plant-pots/>here[/url].
Finally all you have to do is apply the gold leaf. The blog post shows my favorite technique and products for doing this but any gold leaf will work, really. (aff) There are of course some tricks to achieving the look you want but I walk through all of that with you.

Don't be afraid to get creative with it! Projects like this are fun because you can improvise whatever way you want, choose colors that work with your decor and embellish to your heart's content!
