I love vintage decor, so making my own was a no-brainer. It's easy to make your own vintage style galvanized buckets using a few supplies! And the sky is the limit for personalizing your decor.
Print out your design using a laser printer. If your image contains text, be sure to mirror it. Trim away the excess paper. If you want a copy of my design, you can download it on my blog.
Apply a generous coat of photo transfer medium to both the image and the bucket.
Place the image on the bucket and rub it to make sure it sticks well. Wipe any excess glue away with a wet washcloth.

Let it sit for 24 hours.
After 24 hours have passed, wet the paper with a wet wash cloth. When it's nice and saturated, start rubbing the paper away. A circular motion works best.
When the paper is removed, it might still appear hazy in the light. Apply a thin coat of decoupage glue over the image. I like the matte version.
I added small canning jars to my buckets to make them usable as vases.
