Are there pool filters that...?
With the shortage of above ground pools this year my son and husband decided to try the recent examples of DIY pools made with a trampoline frame & Xtra large tarp, and shrink wrap, it actually went up well, is very sturdy and honestly doesn't look shabby. I am now trying to find out if there are pool filters that are made to hang the hoses over the side, rather than through a hole like in a pre-made pool side? If so, what kind of filter are they called and where would I look to find one? Thanks!

I don't know of any, but have you checked with your local pool supply business? They may be able to point you in the right direction.
Good idea from Ann, also check out Amazon, they carry pool supplies.
We have a pump like that for our pond, it drops in, but I don't know what it's called, and I highly doubt it would be safe to swim with because the electrical is hooked up directly to it and submerged in the water....even with a GFI outlet. I would consult a pro at a pool store.

I think if you need a pool filter for above ground pool this place could help you https://www.intheswim.com/c/filters
Yes you can buy them. I would love to see what you made. I am intrigued.
You could buy a floating filter that distributes chlorine. My sister used to have one in her above ground pool. Check pool stores, I don't think accessories are in short supply. Also, Amazon but not sure what you would use for your key words.
I would go to a regular pool store to see if they can help, otherwise Walmart, Lowes, etc. may have some sort of external pool filter. It may be hard to find one this time of year, so maybe call first.
go to a pool place or jacuzzi place they will have one you might even find one on eBay or Walmart you do need to know the gallons in the pool for the size pump
