Are your cabinets painted white or are they laminate?

    For laminate:

Easy Steps To Clean Yellowish White Laminate

The user needs to follow the below-given steps in order to clean white laminate cabinets that have yellowed over time:

    1. Prepare Solution:First, prepare a solution by mixing 1 gallon of warm water with 1 cup bleach. After that, add a few drops of grease cutting dish soap (Blue Dawn) into the mixture and stir them well together.
    2. Prepare Work Area:Place paper towels under the cabinets in order to catch the drops of cleaning solution dipping from the laminate cabinets.
    3. Apply Solution:After that, apply the solution to the yellowish laminate cabinets with a sponge. It has been recommended to allow the solution to soak well on to the cabinets for several minutes. The step helps in loosening the yellowish stains that can be removed easily afterward.
    4. Scrub The Cabinets: Scrub the yellowish cabinets gently with a piece of superfine steel wool or a medium-bristled brush. The tools help in removing the yellowish stains easily without scratching the paint on to the cabinets.
    5. Reapply Solution If Required:In order to keep the cabinets wet while scrubbing, reapply the solution on to the cabinets. It is necessary to keep the cabinets wet while scrubbing to prevent the tools from scratching.
    6. Wipe Down The Cabinets:At last, wipe down the cabinets with a sponge to remove yellowish residue. Then, mist the cabinets with a spray bottle containing clear water in order to rinse bleach traces followed by drying the cabinets with paper towels.

Equall parts of white vinegar and hot water with a squirt of Dawn will likely do the job. Rinse with a clean cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

  • I use vinegar on rag with warm water and scrub gently.

Hello. I usually start with water and some Dawn dish detergent solution on mine. It usually removes fingerprints and grease stains quite effectively with using no minimal harsh chemicals.

In general, you should use a soft cloth to wipe down kitchen cabinets a few times a week, but the amount of deep cleaning your cabinets require has a lot to do with how often you use your kitchen. By keeping up with overall cleanliness your cabinets will last longer and look nicer for many years to come. This is especially true regarding cabinets that are near your stovetop, where oils routinely float up while you cook and coat cabinet faces with an icky build up.

As a rule of thumb, quickly wipe down all cabinet faces at the end of the day if you cooked in the kitchen. If you cook almost every day, it’s important that cabinets are regularly wiped clean to prevent stubborn build up. If you rarely use your kitchen, you can get away with wiping down cabinet surfaces closer to once every one to two weeks.

For daily or weekly maintenance, use a soft cloth dampened with warm water. If there’s a smudge or stain, add a little dish soap or non-abrasive cleaner to the rag to help remove it.

When deep cleaning and removing build up, you may want to use orange oil based cleaner along with a plastic dish scrubber. Also, there are a number of wood-based cleaning products on the market that are safe to use on most cabinets.

Always start by trying out the cleaner on a discreet portion of your cabinet to ensure it doesn’t cause any discoloration before applying all over.
