How do you get dill smell out?
I froze some dill in a refrigerator freezer and all the food tastes like dill. It also has a dill smell in it that I can't get out. I tried washing it and putting in baking soda. It didn't work. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Typically white vinegar works for me as well.
I find that a bag of bamboo charcoal takes away almost any odor. I use it all the time. Some stores carry it, but, I know Amazon does, if you want ab online source. The neat thing about it is you recharge it in the sun after using it. I discovered how well it worked when my car upholstery got wet and I couldn't get rid of the musty odor. Overnight with a bag and the smell was gone. I always keep a bag in the car, and just toss it on the dash when it needs recharging. Good luck and stay safe!

Best to you.
I know you said it didnāt work I put baking soda box opened but I use a fresh one every month plus clean out the as well .
You can remove the contents of the freezer and put in a cooler. Wipe out the walls of the freezer with dish detergent then rinse thoroughly. You can also wipe down with vinegar instead. Ground coffee absorbs odor just as baking soda does.
Empty ice trays or ice maker bin as the ice cubes keep odor in.
Terri: I love these -- in my frighted, freezer - and even car!

take a paper towel and roll into a ball and then add one drop of vanilla extract (or imitation vanilla) and lay in the fridge and or freezer leave there for several hours and it will take out the smell and also the vanilla smell will go away too. I have used it for dead fish smells in coolers, in my fridge, etc
I'd leave a couple of bowls of baking soda in the fridge
I use white vinegar. Surprisingly clean, natural. Afterward, pour down your kitchen sink to dissolve grease.
Take everything out of your freezer and wash with baking soda and lemon.
Instead of baking soda, you could try activated charcoal to get rid of the odor: https://amzn.to/3eVRRHo
I would take everything out and use Young Living's Thieves cleaner
Hi Terri, place a box of baking soda in there, replace each month, it will remove all odors from your freezer!
