Do it like Marie Kondo would. Take every single thing out of the room. Make sections or piles for each craft. As you place the things in their "areas' discard everything you can. Then look at empty space. What storage units/areas can the space hold? Try to have a large work table with lots of storage underneath. If you don't have room for a permanent table, have one that can fold down or slide under something. What materials do you use? for paint tubes you may want drawers, if paint jars, shelves. It really helps people who want to help others if question askers included pictures of the space they are asking questions about. You could have a 20' x 20' room, or a 6' x 5' closet.
For instance: "I have a space 4' X 6' feet with 8 foot ceilings and one window in a short wall and a high window in a long wall. How can I turn this into a computer room? and then send a couple of pictures of the space.
Shelves and bins would be my suggestion. Sort and group like items. If you can't do shelves, perhaps filing cabinet or plastic organizer.

Use vertical wall space. Since you have multiple hobbies like I do, I would suggest organizing separate areas for each. I like cubby organizers and bins.
If you have space for two desks this would be awesome, one for sewing and one for art and painting. I agree with everyone else storage is key - I use an old sideboard for sewing supplies, with wine crates mounted ont eh walls for yarn, threads etc... Under my desk I store sewing machines. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft-room/craft-supply-storage/update-you-craft-room-with-these-thrifty-storage-ideas-41808356
