What would you use to make a decorative cord holder?

If you still want to make from cardboard paper towel tubes, paint or mod podge or embellish to your desired style or just paint the same color of your walls so it sort of disappears.

Cardboard tubes are not a bad idea at all. Another one is pvc pipe. Either one can be covered with contact paper or fabric.

They make plastic moldings called cord covers to hide a cord and make it look nice. You can also use velcro strips that conceal the cords behind items. I have them on all of my appliances so no ugly cords when not in use.

Cord slips or Command hooks

If you have your gadgets and modems on a table, don’t let the cords dangle about. Stick some cord slips or hooks behind your desk, along the apron, to guide your cords as they run along the sides of the table down to the floor. And, voila! Hi Chrissy: You can get a piece of pvc pipe that's big enough to put the plug ends through. The pipe can be painted to match your wall, floor, etc. Or, you can take a length of fabric, 2 inches longer and about twice again as big around as the cords, sew a little hem on the narrow ends and sew up the sides (right sides of the material facing in) and make a fabric tube.
