Floating Flower Candles Without Mould
Materials Used:-
Paraffin Wax
Candle Wicks
Wax Crayons
Paraffin Wax
Candle Wicks
Wax Crayons
Start by cutting the candle wick upto to one inch length.
Melt the Paraffin Wax over gas.
Take it off the gas and add the wax Crayon.
Mix well till the crayon is dissolved.
With the help of spoon, spread the wax on to your counter.
Cut it into half with help of knife.
The Half would be your Rose Petal.
Repeat the process and keep wrapping the petal around the wick .
Shape it and let it cool.
Make more of your colour choice.
Your floating candles are ready to be lighted.

i must try this!...going to buy a marble or tile cutting board, think that would work better than my cheap counters....wait, it might stay workable longer on something that would cool it so fast....sounds like fun finding out what will work best!

It would be much simpler to pour it onto heavy duty foil, then curve it up while the oil is still warm so that the wax takes the curved form of the foil. drop the wick in the middle and skip much of the mess. Even if it hardens just peel away the foil.

Do they burn all the way down? How long do they last? I would think once the petals start to melt, they would distinguish the flame. Pretty I think to make, but not to expect them burn for long. And I'd add some glitter to the petals while it was cooling before shaping it to the wick. They are nice though.
