DIY Vintage Valentine's Day Banner

Remember when you had to sign your name on 24 Valentine’s Day Cards to give out to your class? Not to mention you had to write their name on the envelope and then lick ALL the little envelopes. As a kid, I remember this being a big project. My hand was always killing me by the time I was done. But wasn’t it so fun to receive all those cards on Valentine’s Day at school? So maybe I got a little nostalgic when I saw all these beautiful Vintage Valentine’s Day Cards at an estate sale.
I just thought these were certainly the sweetest of all Valentine’s. Adorable sayings and cute pictures of sweet cherub faced children expressing their affection for each other. No wonder someone thought to save all of these! They just don’t make them like they used to. (Every time I post about all things vintage, I find myself sounding like an old lady!) But it’s true, Despicable Me Valentine’s Day cards don’t hold a candle to these Old School Valentine’s. (Even though I do love those Minions!)
This is a super easy and quick Valentine’s Day craft. If you don’t have Vintage Valentine’s you can always print some up on The Graphic Fairy. I took a little of my favorite red and white butchers twine and glued it inside my Valentine’s with a little Martha Stewart Glitter Glue.
I didn’t want to lose the integrity of the Valentine’s so I didn’t glue them shut. I wanted to be able to read those adorable sayings and signatures that someone worked so hard on.
