Supplies

Gather the following supplies to create these Halloween candles.

  • Glass pillar candles
  • Contact paper
  • Black paint
  • White glue
  • Gold and black glitter
  • Paint brush
  • Cricut or stencil and craft knife

For this project, I used my Cricut to cut small Halloween shapes out of Contact paper. I chose a spider, cat, bats and a moon.

If you do not have a cutting machine. You can trace or free hand a shape and cut it out with a craft knife.

Stick the Contact paper stencils to the candles and press down well ensuring there are no gaps or bubbles.

then paint of the stencils using black paint or glue and glitter.

While the paint and glue are still tacky, pull off the stencils and let the designs dry completely.

If you wait until they are dry, the paint and glue will come off with the stencil when you remove it.

These cute pillar candles are great for decorating a mantle or any Halloween vignette in your home. They would also work well on a front porch for Trick or Treat.
