Etched Glass Halloween Lantern

Don't be afraid to try your hand at glass etching! It's quick'n easy, safe and also economical when you use re-usable glass etching product and re-usable stencils.
There's a different design on each side of this lantern, which is shown here with an LED candle. It looks so cool hanging on our porch at night with the moon in the background. I have to admit that I took the photograph of the "Blood Moon" at a different time and added my photo of the lantern in photoshop.
This is one of my favorite techniques. I etched the house on one side of the glass and the ghosts on the other, so the images overlapped, but didn't run together.
I used an electronic cutter to cut these stencil designs, but there are also lots of stencils available for etching glass. Step by step instructions and more details are on my blog, Life in the Craft Lane.
