Recycled Book Halloween Decorations

This is a fun weekend project that you can make yourself or with kids of all ages. You can tailor it to your specific interests and color choices.
In my family we celebrate Halloween with fun creepy not scary creepy decorations. As my children grew older, they were interested in decorations that were less cute ghosts and pumpkins and a bit more interesting.
A quick trip through your book shelves or to the thrift store is all you need to get started. We looked for books with solid colored book covers to make our job easier. But don't worry, you can always paint the cover whatever color you choose.
Use craft paint and paint pens to decorate the books. Use your imagination to decorate the cover and add a key as an embellishment. Warming - making these book decorations becomes addictive!
