Simple St. Patrick's Day Wreath
All you need is a wreath, scarf, shamrocks and ribbon!
A trip to Dollar Tree produced scarf, felt shamrocks, green burlap ribbon, felt cutout ribbon, shamrock lights and silk flowers. I didn't use all of these items for my wreath.
I decided I would use the scarf to wrap around a wire wreath I already had (purchased at Dollar Tree) and use the felt shamrocks. There are 12 shamrocks to a package and are dark and light green. I decided I would punch two holes in the middle of each shamrock and then use
green ribbon that I already had to tie the shamrocks to the wire wreath. I used about 10" of ribbon for each tie.
When I took this picture I had placed the ribbon on the wrong wire. I used the second wire up from the bottom. I didn't tie the ribbon too tight so I could adjust the shamrocks around the wreath. Once I had the shamrocks on I gathered the scarf around the wreath and shamrocks. I used straight pins to keep the scarf tucked in as it is slippery and would not stay in place. I used the last of the ribbon to make a loop to hang the wreath. I tried the wreath with the shamrock lights but did not like how it looked because there are only ten lights. For a dollar the lights are cute and I will use them elsewhere.
So simple!
Here's what I did with the felt ribbon and silk. I merely wrapped the ribbon around my metal wreath (Target $22) and added one bunch of silk. $2!! I plan on changing this wreath throughout the seasons.
I received this cute card last year. It gave me an idea...

Thank you! Don't get pinched! I recently discovered I am 41% Irish so I really needed to celebrate the 17th!
