Come see how we made this apple teachers gift!
This DIY took me for a bit of a spin!! For this teacher appreciation gift I really really wanted to make a real looking apple candle. I went to the craft store thinking I could use a plastic apple and cut out a hole on top to fill with candle wax but, I have come to learn those faux apples aren’t plastic they’re actually foam. So that was a bummer😩… Since that was a fail I tried finding a plastic apple form. I’d have to order one online and since this needed to be done asap I knew I couldn’t make it work. Plus come to think of it.., How many of you would actually order an apple form just to make one candle for your teacher? It doesn't make much sense.
So after much deliberation I came across these super cute little mason jars at the craft store which worked perfect! 😁👏👏
We used colorful scrapbook paper to make the leaves.
and we added a piece of branch to finish it off with an apple stem.
YEP We used a dollar store candle to make this teachers gift.
