Can't believe Christmas is just 4 days away! What do you think is the most festive symbol for Christmas? In my opinion it is Christmas stockings!

Honestly before yesterday I have never sewn anything, so I do believe Christmas stocking is a good and easy project to start your sewing journey if you want to try!

Material I used:

  1. Leftover flannel material from tree skirt cutting (about ½ meter)
  2. 2 sleeves from an old brownish red hoodie
  3. Tread
  4. Stocking template (there are plenty of free templates on Google)
  5. Sewing machine, scissors and pins
  6. Some imagination ^ ^

Here are the steps I followed:

1. Print stocking pattern found for free, and trace the pattern on folded flannel fabric

2. Pin folded flannel fabric using sewing pins or needles

3. Cut along the lines that you traced

4. Turn fabric inside out, and sew all the way around the outside edge of the stocking pieces (I left about ¼ inch seams), then safely remove the pins

5. Cut the hoodie sleeves as the folding cuff and attach to the top of stockings

6. For the loop hook, cut a long strip of cuffing material, and sew it to the inside of the stockings.

7. Hang them on your fireplace!

It's starting to look like real Christmas. Happy holidays friends!
