DIY No Waste Gift Wrap With a Scarf

Why waste paper when you can use this trick to wrap a beautiful gift, your recipient will use and love every part of this gift including the wrapping!

This beautiful gift is wrapped with a scarf. No need to hide that scarf in a package, use it as gift wrap!

Follow these steps to turn a scarf into no waste wrapping paper.

Choose a scarf that will fit around your package. A long scarf like this one is ideal for a square box. A larger, blanket scarf may work better for a bigger box.

Lay the package in the middle of the scarf then wrap the scarf around the box. Twist the ends together and pull them around to the front of the box. Flip the box over and tie the scarf.

I like using the bottom of the wrapped package as the decorative top side. I added a little sprig of evergreen and a gift tag to finish it off.

You can also use the ties side as the top.

Play around with this scarf gift wrap and see what works for you.

You can find a video of this technique at Creative Ramblings that shows exactly how to create this no waste gift wrap idea.
