I love to take something that would normally go in the recycle bin or even the trash and turn it into something fun and useful! Check out my upcycled jars that can be used for party decor with a little fringe and other cute trims. Depending on the color and trims used they can be made for weddings or even a hula party!!
Start with any jar that you have emptied and clean it well. Get the labels off the outside and you are set!. I like to use a variety of different shapes and sizes for this project, it add to the fun :)
Apply a layer of fringe around the top of the jar using a good glue. I used Supertite Universal Glue and it works amazing! Have fun with the color, it really does change the feel of the jar if you change up the color of the fringe.
The first batch of jars I made I used yellow 4 inch fringe and added colorful pompom trim to the top in other bright colors. They now have a fun hula or luau theme to them. You can use them for outdoor prties to store straws, flowers, plastic silverware, candies, really have fun with it!
Or you can use them for just storage!
If you change up the color of the fringe and add some lace and beads it gives the jars a whole new feel of wedding or graduation. Add some pretty flowers in them and you are set!
Here is a video on how to make these white fringe jars.
There is no end to the fun you can have with a few fun trims and some upcycled jars!! Pop on over to my   BLOG to see some more, tips, tricks, and pictures!!
