Easy Felt Strawberries

Wow, it feels like a million years since my last post. I’ve been having a hard time getting back in the swing of things, but I’m trying… I didn’t have any red felt when I started making these DIY felt strawberries, but they are adorable in pink and marroon. There’s something about these strawberries that reminds me of the vintage Strawberry Shortcake stuff. My friend had this Strawberry Shortcake doll and it smelled so good. Every time I would go to her house, I wanted to play with that doll because I never had one of my own.

Start by cutting out a long heart shape with felt. You will want three identical heart pieces for each strawberry.I stitched some seeds onto each heart and then stitches the three pieces together.

Add some stuffing before stitching the strawberry closed and tying with a double knot. I cut some green felt into strips and tied them on with the embroidery floss.

These strawberries would be cute for kids to play with or used for fun summer decor. I tied these DIY felt strawberries to a wreath and hung on my front door. This wreath is adorable with the strawberries and I’m thinking about adding a sweet fragrance to the strawberries, so you can get a little smell going in and out of the house.
