Every fall I create centrepieces for our churche's Fall Fair. This year I covered real pumpkins and gourds with stretchy black lace. Assorted ribbons bows and silk flowers finish the job. What's different about these creations is that instead of cutting off the extra lace on the bottom, I pooled it on the table. This actually grounds the Centerpiece and you don't have to find a plate or charger to place it on.
I don't know if you tell from the photo, but I even covered large, zucchini shaped gourds. They have the lace bunched at the top! A real twist to a standard fall design.Along with the flowers and ribbons, the gourds/ squash got additional embellishments of natural jute twine with orange wooden beads threaded on the ends.
