I created this quick and super easy fall project in 10 minutes! Yes the paint had to dry for a little but as it was a nice windy day the jars dried superquick and I had a nice fall display for the mantelpiece.. Here is what I did
I got this gorgeous spray paint in bright copper and wanted to try out a project for fall. The colour was perfect for fall I thought. I had some old glass jars, which I cleaned and dried, then sprayed using the spray paint..
whilst they dried I went on to decorations..
I printed out leaf silhouette (you can download your FREE leaf print here) I traced it on a plastic envelope and cut out the shape - kind of creating my own stencil
my home made stencil!
I then cut out a piece of hessian fabric so it would approximately cover the jar and loosened up some threads on top and bottom to have a nice rustic look
I sprayed some paint on a plastic container (you have to work fast as it dries quickly!) and using a brush stencilled on the fabric (yes I used spray paint as normal paint...you can use acrylic or other paint if you want). The alcohol dried and I was left with nice crisp leaf once the spray paint dried.
Then simply wrap your jar with the fabric and glue using hot glue gun at the back
And voila!! Cheap, quick and fabulous homedecor for fall
