Turn an old tin coffee can and a peice styrofom add twine for a beautiful primative tree topper.
Start with a round peice of styrofom.Cut a circle out in the center with a knife
Make sure the circle is at least two inches bigger than the bottom of the coffee can for the hat brim.
I used Gorilla Hot Glue Stick to make for a better adhesive
A spool of thick twine to wrap the can and styrofom in.
Measure to make sure the coffee can is in the center of the styrofom.
Beginning at the center of the whole that was cut start gluing the twine to the styrofom.
Continue as shown here.
This is how your hat should appear when completely covered.
Add the color ribbon you desire around the hat.
Then add your ribbon I added the brown solid and brown and cream checked these are the colors I did my tree in this year!

Really cute project. You could even make different ones for different holidays as part of a centerpiece 💕

This is such a cute idea. I’d like to wrap this in black yarn and maybe add a sprig of holly. Not sure how I would handle the top but It would look great on my front hall table. I’ve got a decorated snow shovel there standing by the table. Thanks for sharing!
