How I made an Egg Door Decoration

I wanted to make something different for my front door for Easter and I was thinking of making something with an egg shape. My niece said something about a fabric egg with a pocket but she was thinking of something smaller. Then I thought, 'why not a large egg?' So that's how this large egg shape door decoration came about.
This is the door decoration my sister made.
This was my mother's. She loves roses.
I started with a cut out cardboard egg shape.
I covered the cardboard egg with polyester batting and a pretty fabric.
I put a pocket on the egg out of fabric so that I could fill it with flowers or etc.
